The evolution of osteosynthesis of distal radius fractures: systematic review

Бесплатный доступ

The relevance of the choice of optimal surgical treatment of patients with distal radius fractures is associated with significant frequency and prevalence of such an injury, the lack of unified tactical system of treatment and the great number of unsatisfactory results of osteosynthesis. Having passed a long path of evolution, osteosynthesis of distal radius even now causes an increased interest aimed primarily at the ways to improve the effectiveness and safety of treatment of patients with distal radius fractures. Toward this end, an analysis of domestic and foreign literatures that deals surgical treatment of patients with distal radius fractures and its evolution was undertaken, range of possible options of osteosynthesis has been identified, as well as application prospects for a particular method were assessed.
