Evolution of typification systems: from antiquity to the present

The article deals with the mechanisms of development of typification system and its value for contemporary culture. The author distinguishes and analyses the relevant aspects of the typification system: behavioral strategies, verbal and non-verbal sign systems; identifies its characteristic features and studies development peculiarities. It is concluded that the typification system is a significant structure of the modern culture, it reflects development of a new type of identity.
