The yuan really has the potential to become a significant part of the Russian economy, offering new ways to diversify and strengthen ties between Russia and China. Under the conditions of sanctions pressure and instability in world markets, the transition to the yuan allows Russia to reduce its dependence on “toxic” currencies such as the dollar and the euro, which are subject to fluctuations and political risks. Financial cooperation between the two countries can stimulate the development of new trade initiatives, as well as strengthen investment flows. In particular, the use of the yuan in settlements can increase the volume of bilateral trade and open up new financial opportunities for Russian companies. In addition, the future role of the yuan in the Russian economy will depend on the political decisions made by the governments of both countries.
