Southeastern orientation of customs policy in the first half of the XIX century in Russia

Customs policy plays an important role in the external economic activity and foreign policy of the State. This article represents the analysis of the Russian customs policy in the southeastern section of the Empire frontier through which the trade ties with the Central Asia were provided. In the article the factors, which influenced the line of the customs policy, are analyzed; the specific character of the organization of the customs control is shown; the description of the basic measures taken by the Russian government in the sphere of the customs tariff regulation in the area is given.
