Yukagirs in Yakutia at the turn of the 21st century: experience of ethnic self-organization

The author deals with the main causes and prerequisites for formation of the Yukagir ethnical organizations. The article covers activities of the public associations and analyzes their legislative initiatives. On the basis of the field researches the author shows the current socio-political status of Yukagirs in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
