Legal discourse: problems and perspectives of research

The paper focuses on the problems and perspectives of legal discourse study. An overview of research into legal discourse is presented. Problems of legal discourse analysis, such as its definition, typology, genres, methods, etc., are outlined. Different approaches to the analysis of legal discourse are discussed with a special emphasis on the integral approach. The choice of the integral approach as an effective method for research purposes is proved. Legal discourse and genre typology is analyzed within the framework of the communicative paradigm. Perspectives of further research are outlined.
