This article discusses the components of the southern origin in the ornamental art of Yakuts. The author describes the main ornamental patterns comparing them with similar motifs of Turkic peoples of Siberia and Central Asia. It is noted that the material culture of Yakuts has the most direct analogy with the ornamental patterns of Altaians, Kazakhs, Kyrgyz, Xiongnu, and the Scythian-Siberian culture. These parallels reflect a genetic link, remaining in the national ornamentation of the Sakha people.
