On the history of E. G. Pchelina's personal fond at SPbB ARAS: among the myths and reefs, or for whom the bell tolls?

The article provides facts from the history of admission and processing at the St. Petersburg Branch of the Archive of the Russian Academy of Sciences of the personal fund of the famous Caucasian scientist Evgenia Georgievna Pchelina (1895-1972), which, for objective reasons, remained inaccessible for a long time to study. A typical problem in the work of an archival institution was perceived by the scientific community as the negligence of employees who actually made efforts to solve it. Additions and clarifications to the work of cultural scientist and art critic T. V. Dadianova on the biography and scientific activity of E. G. Pchelina are also outlined.
