Towards the history of cybernetics in the USSR

Cybernetics is interesting not only for its content but also for its history. First, it is the story of the first transdisciplinary science that had to break through the rigid boundaries of the classical disciplines. Secondly, its unusual fate in the Soviet Union is of special interest. While in the mid-XXth century cybernetics enjoyed powerful public and professional recognition in the world, it is believed that in the USSR it was denounced by Soviet philosophers. The author of the article proposes to revise this view in light of new data.
