To the history of Russian style: triumphal arches in the Russian provinces in the end of XIX century)

The article deals with the ideological and ceremonial aspects of Russian-style triumphal arches in the culture of the end of the XIX century and their connection with the policy of the Russian Empire. The author comes to a conclusion that the Russian-style triumphal arches in the Russian Far East represent the country as a Eurasian Empire which must have naturally strong influence in Asia.
