To the history of the formation of the Ashgabat Botanical Garden

All the accumulated historical experience of studying the flora of Kopetdag became a prerequisite for the formation and development of the Ashgabat Botanical Garden, opened on October 1, 1929 as the first scientific platform for botanical research in Turkmenistan. The introduction of new tree, shrub and ornamental flower crops, the development of techniques for planting them in difficult climatic conditions with a subsequent stage of acclimatization are the main tasks of the country's research and cultural and educational institution. In the history of the formation and development of the Ashgabat Botanical Garden, all stages of the development of botanical science in the country are reflected as in a drop of water.
