Lichens in forests, shrubberies and grasslands of valley of the Lower Volga were studied. Occurrence, projective covering and specificity of lichen species in communities with dominated by Populus nigra, Tamarix ramosissima, Elaeagnus angustifolia, Salix alba and Artemisia lerchiana were revealed.
