Concerning the methodology of town plantings use in the biomonitoring of urban environment

For urban environment with the high technogenic pollution level and moderate continental climate (Samara, Russia) some results of plant reactions testing are presented. Numerous effects of technogenically polluted urban environment are showed both upon different structure and functional proofs of some higher plant species. The heterogeneous character of urban territory is discussed as a result of different ecological factors interaction. The main problems connected with the possibility of biomonitoring are named. Among them are the different genesis of different town plantings, the influence of many ecological factors on plants, the seasonal dynamics and some weather features of a concrete year. The problems of urban biomonitoring system using higher plants are discussed both as some species and proofs perspective in biomonitoring aspect.
