To republishing the red book of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic

United Nations Organization has declared 2010 year «International year of biodiversity». The initiative of development the species list, being under threat of the extinction named by "The Barometer of life » is dated for this year. In support of this initiative, and also in connection with necessity of republishing the Red Book of Kabardino-Balkarian Republic experts from Institute of mountain territories ecology KBSC RAS on the basis of quantitative criteria and expert estimations prepare the Red list of mammals in KBR, including 43 kinds of mammal from 5 groups.
