The problem of ethno-cultural socialization of the Tatar youth: past and modern trends

The paper analyses the Tatar youth socialization process in its ethno-cultural aspect. The evolution of the youth socialization system from Soviet times till the present through development of education, culture, native language and participation in public movements is studied. Documents of two forums of the Tatar youth, held under the auspices of the World Congress of Tatars, are used as a primary source.
