Towards the problem of political status of Abkhazia in 1917-1921

In the article on the issue of political status of Abkhazia in 1917-1921, the author analyzes some of its historical, legal and political aspects. Summing up the positions of Georgian and Abkhazian historians on the subject, at the same time analyzing documentary sources on the researched problem, the author identifies the main issues of national self-determination of Abkhaz people in the period under review.
