The article analyzes manifestations of the «fear» concept in modern lexicographic sources and in fiction texts. The analysis is aimed at revealing and characterizing the specificity of lexical means which nominate and describe FEAR and its diverse manifestation in modern German linguistic culture. The principal domains of the concept in question are also described.
