On the issue of attribution and evaluation of cultural values

Within the framework of this article, cultural values are considered, which are tangible objects of cultural and historical significance from the category of movable property. The article is devoted to the role of cultural values in law enforcement and problems related to their preservation and protection. The legal aspects of regulating the turnover of cultural property, including international agreements and Russian legislation, are considered. Particular attention is paid to the difficulties of identifying, authenticating, and evaluating cultural property in the context of crime investigation. The procedures for conducting examinations necessary for the correct classification and evaluation of such objects are described. The article highlights the importance of international cooperation and raising public awareness about the preservation of cultural heritage.
