The article is devoted to the question of dating of the rock painting of the lower territory adjacent to the Angara. The animalistic paintings are the basic material for dating. The article presents 7 types of animalistic paintings, and each of them is typical for a definite historic period. The earliest of the paintings found in the lower territory adjacent to the Angara are dated to Neolithic age. The petroglyphs of the Copper age, Early Bronze Age, Late Bronze age, Early Iron Age are described. The latest rock paintings are dated as Medieval and ethnographic modernity ones.
