Introduction: the author emphasizes some practical challenges in implementation by the law enforcer of the legal provisions on implementation by the law enforcer of the legal provisions on interrogation, confrontment and identification through the videoconferencing, as well as identifying imperfections in the legislative regulation of Article 189.1 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
