Financial activity of the USSR Muslim associations in 1945 - 1985 (on Penza region materials)

The paper analyzes some directions of financial activity of the Penza Muslim communities in 1945-1985: the organization of donations from believers and sacrifices to support mosques and clergy; movable property and real estate purchasing; sale of religious cult objects; fund raising for "Peace Fund", "Fund for Restoration of Historical and Cultural Monuments", etc., as well as actions the Soviet authorities taken to control and limit financial independence of the Muslim associations.
