On the question of the functionality of administrative coercion

The article examines the problems of the application of administrative coercion measures, draws attention to the functionality of administrative coercion measures, and also states the thesis that, despite the great attention to the issue of administrative coercion, its functions in science are practically not developed. Taking into account theoretical developments, the author draws attention to the fact that the functionality of administrative coercion is predetermined by the functionality of certain types of administrative coercion measures. In this regard, the author focuses on the functions of some of the administrative and coercive measures. The methodological basis of the work was made up of general and private scientific methods of cognition of objective legal reality. The paper uses the method of analysis, comparison, logical-legal, as well as historical research methods. The theoretical basis of the research was made up of works on the general theory of law, as well as modern achievements of the science of administrative law.
