On personality's genius (artist N.I. Feshin: case study)

The article presents a theoretical analysis of the concepts of giftedness, ability, talent, genius, etc. Several specific problems are tackled: to clearly distinguish the key concepts (giftedness, inclinations, abilities, talent and genius); to conduct a socio-psychological analysis of a personality's genius: a case study of the great artist N. I. Feshin starting from the study of his autobiography, his inner circle (colleagues and family), crisis moments in his personality development, the peculiarities of his character as he was becoming a writer, his views, attitudes, values and ideals; to summarize the list of characteristic features of a genius based on the results of a study of N.I. Feshin's personality. In the article, the research was carried out according to a specific methodology. Carried out is a deep analysis of several of Feshin's paintings as a reflection of his personality, worldview, the embodiment of his attitudes and ideals.
