On the problem of staff providing the political course of Russia in the Far East at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: a historical and political aspect

This article considers the purposeful activity of the Russian Empire state power at the milestone of the 19th - 20th centuries aimed at establishing an educational institution of a new type - the Oriental Institute. The results of the institution's activity after ten years of its existence are presented by the author. The research is based on the archival documents reflecting the main stages of the state documents preparation; hot arguments about the educational institution status and location, planned curriculum, exact numbers and quality of trained specialists in oriental studies are touched upon in the article.
