On key functions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation

Introduction: the article discusses the basic mechanisms used by the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, ensuring the protection of the foundations of the constitutional system, preserving and developing the existing constitutional values in domestic law, allowing to fill gaps, eliminate contradictions in the law, prevent the implementation of negative decisions for citizens, society and the state human rights courts. The article discusses the role of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation on the example of its individual decisions and the implementation of these decisions in legislative and law enforcement activities of Russia. Materials and methods: the normative basis of the research is formed by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, constitutional legal legislation, decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, scientific research in the field of constitutional law.
