Аbout the code of professional ethics of lawyer

Purpose: Determination of the legal nature of the Code of professional ethics of advocate and his place in the legislation on the bar. Methodology: The author applied system-structural and formal-legal methods. Results: The article deals with the problem of the uncertainty of the status of the Code of professional ethics of lawyer in the system of the legal profession legislation. The author explores the main approaches of scientists to the definition of the nature of the CPEL, as well as attempts to justify the legal nature of the Code, by comparing it with a regulatory legal act. Novelty/originality/value: Article has a certain scientific and practical value.
