This article reviews the space and time categories in English texts of different genres in the context of cognitive approach. The stages of cognitive science formation are being followed. The special attention is paid to the development of cognitive linguistics and stylistics. The cognitive basis of space and time categories is being analyzed in the texts with different genre and stylistic organization.
