On the problem of criminological characteristics of human trafficking and the use of slave labour

The article presents the results of criminological research of human trafficking and slave labour, features of this crime. Every year around the world, millions of criminal transactions committed against people. This crime is also widespread in Russia. At the same time, official statistics show data that is significantly lower than the experts point out in this area. This is due to the extremely high level of latency of human trafficking and slave labor. In this regard, the paper analyses the reasons for the lack of detection of these crimes. Based on the study a number of proposals to improve the degree of identification and disclosure of human trafficking and slave labour are made. In particular, the reduction in the proportion of latent crimes in question the use of personal investigation of authorised persons based on the search for signs of criminal activity indicator, followed by prompt verification of the information received, the collection of evidentiary material will contribute to. In addition, there should be a comprehensive inter-agency work, including organisational, psychological, medical, social activities to identify and rehabilitate the victims of these crimes. In order to create a mechanism for the implementation of these provisions requires the adoption of specific laws against trafficking and rehabilitation of victims of trafficking.
