Concerning qualification of self-incrimination

The article analyzes specifics of self-incrimination legal treatment according to the Russian criminal law. The author considers various views on the given issue existing in the criminal law doctrine. The article carries out a historical legal and comparative analysis of the relevant criminal law regulations. The undertaken study shows that depending on the type of selfincrimination and considering whether false information is given before initiating a criminal case or during investigative actions, there may be various variants of offence qualification.
