Content analysis in the lexicographic interpretation of a concept

The article identifies, analyzes and compares the ways of interpreting the concepts of “legal” and “legitimate” using the lexicographic method and quantitative content analysis. This study uses both linguistic and terminological dictionaries and materials from a survey conducted among students of a University of Novosibirsk. The lexicographic method as one of the informative methods of linguistics is used for the philological and cultural description of the interpretation of the concepts included in the survey. The content analysis method takes into account the social environment in which these concepts may be used.
