About the methodology of studying mass media texts: sociolinguistic aspect

The article considers qualitative types of content-analysis which are employed by language students for studying mass media texts as part of their term and thesis papers. The author gives a short description of content-analysis methodology and analyzes some obstacles which students face while doing content-analytical research.
