The article analyzes the origin of the term «shamanism» in connection with the latest Tengrist studies on the influence of Eternal Blue Sky religion, Mithraism and Bon religion on beliefs and cults of the Turko-Mongol peoples of Inner and Central Asia. We consider that this term, which J. Banzarov entered into scientific circulation, was adopted from archaic Tungus-Manchu ethnic and religious tradition and artificially imposed to the Turko- Mongol peoples, who had no «shamanism», but had various forms of Tengrism and «Aryan religion» (Mithraism, Zoroastrianism).
