International experience in transport infrastructure development

One of the most important factors in the development of the resource, economic, and social potential of the region is its provision with transport infrastructure. Provided urbanization and the transformation of large and surrounding small cities into agglomerations with a common transport system, the largest metropolises in the world are faced with the problem of developing the transport infrastructure of such territories. The article is devoted to the issue of researching key trends and directions for the development of transport infrastructure in world capitals and their surrounding areas. An overview of the transport policies of London, Paris, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo and other major transport hubs is presented. The authors separately studied the experience of the Moscow region, and made recommendations for improving the unified transport infrastructure of Moscow and the Moscow region as a region bordering the capital.
