Concerning the necessity of improving the legal norms regulating treatment of women in pretrial detention centers

The article discusses the lack of gender differences in the incarceration conditions of pretrial detention centers. The author considers the problem of adaptation of women to the detention on remand regime. In order to improve the incarceration conditions for women (in particular, pregnant women and women having children with them) the author proposes a number of amendments to the legislation of the Russian Federation.
