Based on the data of radiocarbon and tephrochronological analyzes, as well as the study of the features of material culture, the author proposes the periodization of the archaeological sites of the Kamchatka Peninsula, which includes: the first period of transition from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic (- 13300 - 12500 yr. BP), the second period of transition from the Paleolithic to the Neolithic (- 12000 - 10100 yr. BP), Initial Neolithic (- 9900 - 8600 yr. BP), Early Neolithic (- 7800 - 4500 yr. BP), Middle Neolithic (- 4000 - 1500 yr. BP), Late Neolithic (- 50 - 1020 AD), the ancient Itelmen culture (- 1200 - 1700 AD). The article identifies possible areas of research for the subsequent adjustment of the periodization.
