On the issue of Platonism of the Russian religious thought

The article is devoted to the general characteristics of platonic sources of Russianreligious thought. Particular attention is paid to the fate of areopagitical set of worksin Russia. On the basis of a comparative analysis of the available in literature pointsof view, two important Platonic traditions are revealed (eastern and western), theyhave a significant impact on Russian religious philosophy. It is concluded that thenamed traditions differ both chronologically and substantively.
