Concerning conception of adaptation potential

The article designates a problem of diverse interpretation of the adaptation potential in the contemporary socioeconomic sciences and the humanities. Basing upon analysis of such categories, as: potential, adaptation, social adaptation and the adaptation potential interpretations developed in social science and economics, the author determines content of the concept under consideration.
