The article considers the issue of the limits of the alteration of constitutions of republics of the Russian Federation. The author researches some aspects of the problem of independence of subjects of the Russian Federation in acceptance of the republican constitution or introduction some changes into it, and it also considers, how the alteration of the federal legislation influences on the republican constitutions.
