To the question of the origin of the plot «a bear in sacrificial posture» in Perm animal style

The article is devoted to the problem of the origin and evolution of a bear image which is wide-spread in Perm and Siberian animal style. On the basis of finds from burial complexes of Kara-abyz and Pyanobor cultures the author demonstrates the bear image’s evolution from a profile image peculiar to the Scythian and Siberian art to the belt buckles with bear images in sacrificial postures. The author concludes that the image appeared in the Ante-Urals and Western Siberia in the end of I millennium BC.
