This paper explores occurrence of portable anthropomorphic art at theCucuteni-Tripolye sites. The study uses a sample of 121 settlements regarding which theauthor had access to the data on the number of the discovered objects of portable art andthe size of the excavated area. The number of statuettes per 100 sq. m was calculated foreach settlement; the number of the statuettes was then divided into the number of squaremeters of the excavated area and multiplied by 100. This indicator offers an opportunityto compare data from various sites. The resulting estimates demonstrate that the averageoccurrence of figurines at the Cucuteni-Tripolye sites does not exceed five figurinesper 100 sq. m of the excavated area. The paper describes results of the statistical dataprocessing, which are then discussed diachronically.
