On the issue of expanding the powers of the State Traffic Inspectorate in the field of control and supervision of the technical condition of vehicles

The article considers the problem of expanding the powers of the state traffic Inspectorate of MIA of Russia in the field of road traffic in the context of control and supervision over technical condition of vehicles. It is noted that the capabilities of the state traffic Inspectorate to control the technical condition of vehicles are currently quite limited. SHAPE \* MERGEFORMAT The authors consider a set of new regulatory legal acts aimed at strengthening the state presence in this area, improving the organizational and legal aspects of technical inspection. The new rules are backed by sanctions for non-compliance, will introduce amendments to the administrative code relating to: the imposition of sanctions for driving a vehicle in respect of which is not formalized diagnostic card; the establishment of jurisdiction of cases on administrative offences in the sphere of inspection; clarification of the rules for establishing and applying administrative penalties in the form of fines and disqualifications for administrative offenses in the field of technical inspection, etc.
