The author analyzes typical investigative situations that develop during the investigation of assassinations. It is important to note that, in general, the investigation of such crimes seems to be a difficult task for the investigation. Each investigative situation considered by the author requires certain actions of the investigator, in order to prevent the loss of evidence or the impossibility of identifying the perpetrator of the crime, which is one of the main links of the evidence-information chain of participants in the commission of murder for hire.
