To the issue of social characteristics of drivers who display deviant behavior on the roads of Russia

The article deals with the issues sociological characteristics of the personality of the vehicle’s driver, analyzes the scientific concept «deviant behavior» and the main factors influencing on its displaying by drivers. The individual and subjective properties have been studied that characterize the role of the driver’s personality (gender, age, professional activity, the status in the professional group and participation in social life, marital status, etc.). The recommendations to increase the level of culture of driving, in order to reduce the manifestations of deviant behavior by drivers, and as a result, decrease a number of traffic accidents committed by the drivers’ fault. According to the author, the problem of studying the deviant behavior of the drivers is of great scientific and practical interest and requires further in-depth study on the example of Republic of Buryatia.
