In the literature there is no clear systematization and differentiation of the determinants that contribute to the commission of crimes by advocates, which complicates the development of appropriate measures aimed at preventing criminal manifestations among advocates, as well as reduces the effectiveness of preventive measures in practice. Based on the analysis of normative legal acts regulating the ethical and professional behavior of advocates, a number of causes and factors contributing to their fraudulent and corrupt behavior have been identified. The research revealed problems associated with the lack of elaboration of the procedure for candidates for the qualification exam evaluation, in terms of moral and ethical qualities.
