On the relation of form and function of scrapers (on the materials of the Neolithic site of Baibek)

The paper contains the results of the trasological research of the collection of scrapers from the Neolithic site of Baibek in the Astrakhan region. The results of the trasological studies of the scrapers are discussed in relation to the typological analysis of this category of weapons. The research demonstrates the high significance and necessity of comprehensive study of flint industries. By usage of the trasological analysis archaeologists can not only get much more weapons, but also expand the range of economic tools significantly. The complex research of the category of scrapers proved the significance of such approach for the economic reconstruction.
