On the question of the improvement of the system for the identification of latent crimes in the forestry

The resources of the Russian Federation are great. One of these resources is the forest. Economically competent use of forest resources is one of the main tasks of our time. The positive solution to this problem is influenced by crime in this sector of the economy. Along with the identified crimes, there is a latent crime, which, using the corruption component, affects the economy of the region and the country as a whole. An important step in the fight against latent crime is to create conditions in which it cannot be revived. Such a step, in our opinion, is the development of strategic measures to reduce latent crime in the forestry system. On the basis of strategic measures it is necessary to create a mechanism to counter criminalization in the field of forestry. Such a mechanism should include a step-by-step, logically correct tool that, using a feedback system, is able to resist corruption, and as a consequence, latent crime. Taking into account the indicators developed in the strategic measures and based on the mechanism of their implementation, we can present a forecast scenario to reduce damage and latency for the period from 2020 to 2024 inclusive. Given that the economy in the forest industry is also based on a significant social factor, the article reveals the expected effect of the implementation of measures developed in the framework of this study.
