The creation of the spiritual boards in Isetskaya province in 1740-ies

The purpose of the article is to cover the events related to the establishment and functioning of Spiritual Boards in the Isetskaya province in the first years of their existence (up to 1750 inclusive). The functions of Spiritual Boards and the double terminology of their names, which existed in the XVIII century, are considered. It is said about the features of the Russian population in the border province and the problems of the clergy among the new settlers. The main subject of consideration is the Chelyabinsk Spiritual Board, its first leaders: E. Lavrentyev and P. Florovsky.
