On the use of record of improvised explosive devices in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia

Introduction: the article deals with the problem of investigation of arson using improvised explosive devices (IED) the detection of which remains at a low level. The need and desirability of additions of relevant documents of statistical registration of crimes of the given category by special requisites that characterize the use of IED or its attempt is considered. This requisite will serve as an integrating link, combining statistical, centralized, and forensic-criminal record. Since in some cases arson is serially committed in the territory of several constituent entities of the Russian Federation, centralized records must be maintained both at the regional and federal levels.
