Concerning formation of the "energy" concept

The article deals with the origins and formation of the 'energy' concept, which was originally introduced by Aristotle. The authors consider application of the concept in philosophy and physics, for which reason its duality is stressed: the scope of 'energy' includes both natural scientific concepts (heat, light) and imprecise categories (development, well-being). Particular attention is focused on a human as both a consumer and producer of energy. The authors emphasize the need for further study of the 'energy' concept in the context of personality.
