The article analyzes the activities of organizations that originated the formation and development of tourist and excursion activities on the territory of Western Transbaikalia in XIX-the beginning of the XX centuries. The main activities of the resort Goryachinsk and Kyakhta Local History Museum named after V.A. Obruchev have been considered.
